Biography
Monifa Barrow-Wass is a freelance musician and music-teacher who holds a B.M. from the Juilliard School, a M.M. from Yale University, and a Level III Certificate in Orff Schulwerk Pedagogy. She has freelanced with several local groups including the Pan-American Symphony Orchestra and has held the Double Bass Teacher Position at Georgetown University. She has sung alto with the Washington International Chorus and served as a substitute Ear Training Teacher for the National Children’s Chorus. She has taught string instruments, Orff-based Music and General Music at various levels. She has a passion for music curriculums that include diverse music and opportunities for student composition.
